Two conventions worth copying
Bill the drive separately or not at all. Clients dislike surprise line items. If travel matters, fold it into a trip fee that appears on every invoice rather than adding it only when the job is far away.
Name the rooms. "Deep clean — kitchen, 2 baths, 3 beds" gets paid faster and disputed less often than "deep clean." Detail is what makes an invoice defensible if a client questions the total.

Most residential cleaners charge either an hourly rate — commonly $25 to $50 per cleaner per hour depending on the region — or a flat rate per visit based on home size and condition. A standard clean on a two-bedroom home usually lands between $100 and $180. A first-time deep clean tends to cost 1.5 to 2 times a regular visit because of the accumulated buildup.
Should I charge by the hour or by the job?
Hourly protects you when you cannot predict how long a place will take — first visits, heavily soiled homes, move-outs. Flat rate rewards you for getting faster and gives the client a number they can plan around, which is why it suits recurring maintenance cleans.
